Phillippa Hake Fly Fishing
I started tying flies around 8 years ago, it’s something I enjoy doing and love nothing more than tying up new creations to test on the urban rivers that surround me full of wild brown trout and grayling.
You may have seen my tying at numerous fly tying shows such as on fly tyers row at the British Fly Fair. Over the past couple of years I’ve stared tying custom fly tying orders for anglers looking to tempt wild brown trout and grayling on UK rivers.
I love hearing stories about adventures my flies have been on and what fish they have caught

Our Story

”There’s nothing better than heading down to the river after a tough day, spotting a rising fish and watching its feeding routing then plotting how you’re going to catch it.

I got into fly fishing at around the age of 13/14 when in my mum and dads caravan. From catching my first trout at Raygil trout fishery I never looked back. Not long after catching my first trout I discovered fly tying. I then got my hands on a veniards starter kit which grew more and more with materials until it took over the spare room!
It wasn’t long before my attentions moved from still waters to river fishing and that’s where I found my true passion! Every fish being different and a story of their own. There’s nothing better than heading down to the river after a tough day, spotting a rising fish and watching its feeding routing then plotting how you’re going to catch it.
